Timothy Lee Yarbrough
February 2, 1965 - March 27, 2022
Timothy Lee Yarbrough, 57, of Searcy, formerly of Newport passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 at his home. He was born in Harrisburg on February 2, 1965 to the late Wilburn Howard and Flossie Jean (Barker) Yarbrough. He was of the Baptist Belief. Growing up, Tim lived in Waterloo, Iowa and Hickory Ridge, Arkansas. Tim never met a stranger and he literally liked everyone he met. At 18, he met Angie Renee Bolden and it was love at first sight. He soon married her, taking her as his wife and best friend for life. Over the years, Tim worked hard to support his family and friends too. He was employed by Riceland Foods in Hickory Ridge; Tyson Foods in Fayetteville; and later by Richard Baughn and Blake Duke Construction companies in Jackson County. He made many friends along the way, helping anyone he could, even if it meant sacrificing what he had in order for someone else not to go without. Tim enjoyed arrowhead hunting, fractal wood burning, deep discussions with friends, and all kinds of music. Tim could name a tune after hearing the first note most of the time. His very favorite activity was anything involving his best buddy, his almost three-year-old grandson, Gatlin. You could always find the two wrestling around, playing with figurines, putting together puzzles, or just talking about what “Pawpaw” wanted for everyone’s future. Gatlin was his everything and definitely Tim’s motivation to keep pushing on from day to day. It’s ironic that only after his cancer diagnosis seven years ago was Tim able to stop working so much and enjoy every day of his last years with his family. Tim was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; loving mother-in-law, Vickie May; and several other relatives. He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Angie Yarbrough; sidekick and grandson, Gatlin; two sons, Howie Yarbrough (Lexi), and Michael Yarbrough; and one brother, Dewayne Yarbrough, all of the home. He is also survived by his wife’s siblings, Earl, Heather, Harley, and Sandy, whom he helped raise and support guiding and protecting them as if they were his own. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as a host of other family and friends. At 10am, Saturday, April 2, 2022, the family will host a celebration of life in honor of Tim at their home located at 128 Colyer Drive, Searcy, Arkansas 72143. It will be a true celebration including a potluck meal and sitting around telling stories about Tim. Bring a chair if you have one. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Bradford Memorial Funeral Home of Bradford, Arkansas. www.bradfordmemorial.com
