Sharon Louella Willis
November 30, 1959 - January 31, 2022
At 9:57pm, January 31, 2022, Sharon Louella (Whitley) Willis, 62, of Bradford, Arkansas, formerly of Dulac, Louisiana, defeated Cancer, Pneumonia, and Covid and entered into rest surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Bradford November 30, 1959, to the late Walter Higdon and Bessie Ellen (Jones) Whitley. During the time of Sharon’s illness, she was treated like a “princess” by her family, friends, and the medical team that was involved in her treatment. Sharon was a good mother and grandmother. She was a very selfless person who always put other’s needs before her own. She was a hard worker who never complained about anything. She lived a simple life and enjoyed coffee, Dr Pepper, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (especially in the middle of the night). She loved keeping up with her friends and family on Facebook and working word search puzzles. Sharon had the sweetest little smile, but she was very opinionated. You never had to wonder where you stood with her. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Sharon is survived by her children, Cynthia Medlock (JC) of Bradford, Arkansas, Jason Fanguy of Dulac, Louisiana, Tonya Lodrique (Chase) of Dulac, Louisiana, Devon ”DJ” Fanguy of Dulac, Louisiana, and Troy Willis (Dena) of McRae, Arkansas; grandchildren, Ashlee Willis (Sue Matherne) of Beebe, Arkansas, Makiyla Morris of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, John Medlock of Bradford, Arkansas, Justin Medlock of Bradford, Arkansas, Kenzie Rae Laughlin of Dulac, Louisiana, Ton’Ce’iana “Ce’Ce” Lodrigue of Dulac, Louisiana, Chaselyn Lodrigue of Dulac, Louisiana, and Chase Lodrigue of Dulac, Louisiana; great grandchildren, Kai Micheal Emerson of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, Sunsen’Rae Matherne Willis of Beebe, Arkansas; sisters, Edith Thrift of Carlisle, Arkansas and Runnell Thrift of Cabot, Arkansas; an aunt, Peggy Jones Larie of Bradford, Arkansas; Allen Fanguy “Boogie” of Dulac, Louisiana; David Fanguy of Dulac, Louisiana; a special friend, Larry Bradley; “Adopted” children, T.J., Boo, and Brett; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
