Sharon Lucile Loftis Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sharon Lucile Loftis, 56, of Newport, departed this life Friday, October 26, 2018. She was born February 15, 1962 in Newport, Arkansas to the late Thurman and Patricia (Bowman) Loftis. Sharon loved her family. Her nephews were a big part of her life; and she treasured the time she spent with them. She loved her dog “Buddy”. Sharon enjoyed arrowhead hunting, fishing, and roller skating. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Patricia (Bowman) Loftis, and her brother, James Howard Loftis Jr. Sharon is survived by three sisters, Debbie Sue Loftis of Newport, Linda Sue Loftis of Michigan, and Janice Lynn Loftis of Michigan; two nephews, Joshua Sockey of Newport and Tyler Loftis of Newport; her aunt, Donna Veal of Oil Trough; her dog, Buddy; family friend, Roy Duty of Grubbs; a close friend, Pat Moody and a special thanks to her for being there for Sharon and also Amanda McGuire and Mrs. Erma a special friend as well; several nieces and nephews, Jackie Lynn Bowman of Michigan and Beatrice Loftis of Oil Trough; and a host of friends. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Pentecostal Church of God at 202 Ray Street, Newport, Arkansas 72112 at 3:00 P.M. with Bro. Larry Joe Jordan officiating.
