Clyde Michael Ball
July 7, 1943 - May 15, 2020
Bro. Clyde M Ball, 76, of Rosie, departed this life on May 15, 2020 in Batesville. He was born July 7, 1943 in Beebe, Arkansas to the late Clyde and Ellen Michaels Ball. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda Ball; his son Michael Ball (Rosie, AR), and his daughter and Son in law Stephanie and Simon Dean (San Antonio, TX). He was the proud Papaw of three grandchildren, Zander Ball (Benton, AR), Sydney Dean (San Antonio, TX), and Sebastian Dean (San Antonio, TX). He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Ellen Ball. He loved sharing photos of his grandkids with everyone he saw. He was a Marine, and a proud Vietnam Veteran. He served two tours in Vietnam supporting the Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 542, where he worked on the F4 Phantom. Upon returning from Vietnam, he married Wanda Harrison in California. He separated from the Marines in order to go back to Arkansas to take care of his mother Ellen. He surrendered to the ministry three years later. He was a full time pastor for 48 years. His ministry led him to churches in Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, and Andros, Bahamas. He assisted with many mission projects and many building programs in the United States and Mexico. One of the highlights of his ministry was when he was given the opportunity to tour the Holy Land. To stand where Christ stood, to be in that place, was one of the most humbling experiences of his life. He enjoyed sharing his slide presentation of his trip with anyone who would allow him to share. He was also a machinist by trade, a trade that he learned from his father Clyde Ball. He enjoyed tinkering in his shop. He also had a love for cars. He loved watching NASCAR and working on his own cars. He enjoyed driving his Mercedes that he had put a Chevy 350 in. He turned a lot of eyes. He loved the Lord and his family. Mike was an only child and on May 15, 2020 he was reunited with his parents Clyde and Ellen Ball in Heaven. What a glad reunion day it was. “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:1-3 Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8pm at Bradford Memorial Funeral Home, where current state appointed social distancing practices will be observed. The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 20 at 11am at the Beebe Cemetery located on South Lemon Street in Beebe, Arkansas.
