Christopher C. Davis Austin, 49, of Searcy passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones Saturday, January 2, 2021. He was born August 30, 1971 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the son of Jim Davis and Patricia Wheeler. Chris was an amazing father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved his grandson and all his nieces and nephews. Chris was a hardworking, fun loving guy. He had a very bold and tuff personality. He always spoke his mind, you never had to wonder what he was thinking. He was very stubborn, but he loved joking around with everyone. He could tell stories and have you completely wrapped up in them. He loved being outdoors riding his motorcycle and fishing. Chris truly did love all his family. He will be forever missed by his loved ones. Those left behind to cherish Chris’s memory is his wife, Tammy Austin; his children, Blake Taylor and partner Drake Slagley of Newport, and Katlynne Houston and fiancée Alex Moriel of Searcy; one grandson, Julian Moriel; parents, Jim (Ann) Davis of Searcy and Patricia Wheeler of Providence; sister, Gina (Cliff) Stafford of Judsonia; nieces and nephews, Kayla Brewer, Mandee Baker, Hannah Lowrey, Dallas Loftis, Lindsey Loftis and their families; and a host of cousins, other family members, and friends. Chris was preceded in death by one son, Bradley Sims; one sister, Christy Don Herndon; Niece, Katelyn Littlejohn; and stepdad, Edward “Buddy” Wheeler. Visitation will be Friday, January 8, 2021 at Bradford Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services Saturday at 2:00 PM at Bradford Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
